About SHRM:
The Society for Human Resource Managers is an international organization, serving hundreds of thousands of businesses around the globe by training their HR professionals, business owners and business leaders. SHRM was founded in 1948 and has grown to the largest organization devoted to human resource management. The goals of SHRM include; partnering with professionals to increase credibility, depth and breadth of industry resources and tools, to offer professionals a certification that is earned by demonstration of knowledge critical to success in an HR role, and last, to create a network of trusted professionals that can be relied on for help, support and education.
The Bridgerland SHRM chapter is comprised for certified and credentialed HR professionals, leaders and entrepreneurs in the Cache, Box Elder and Rich counties. The chapter meets locally each month for an educational presentation about current and hot topics that are facing in the workplace. The members of the Bridgerland Chapter can be an enormous resource to small businesses, leaders and organizations, especially those organizations without someone in an official “HR” role. Juli Weber, the 2016 chapter President will talk about how and why the Bridgerland Chapter should be a tool in your business tool box. They help and protect you and your employees with their knowledge about issues from labor regulations and employee relations, to workforce planning, and performance development. You will also be introduced to the SHRM HR Disciplines and hear firsthand accounts of how this education and information has helped businesses around the valley.
Current Bridgerland chapter board members will also be available after the session for one on one Q&A sessions.
